Arabid: The Cabinet's decision regarding customs duties takes into account the delicate situation.
The head of the Economic and Social Council, Charles Arbid, wrote via AX: "The Cabinet did well to suspend Decree No. 3214, which amended the schedule of customs duties on imported products."

He added: "Today's Cabinet decision takes into account the current situation in Lebanon and the delicate economic and social conditions, especially for the most vulnerable groups. It also acknowledges the need to establish sound regulatory and financial governance principles for the environmental sector, and the noble intentions behind the law issued in this area. While we thank Prime Minister Salam and the ministers, we appreciate the consultative effort that preceded this decision, which reflects a sense of responsibility and collaboration in a critical situation."
